In April 2020, weeks into the coronavirus pandemic, theJLM wrote some lyrics and decided to share them with a group of friends, inviting them to each write their own separate song to go with the words. The result is this collection of songs. These are not covers or even really "versions" of the same song. Each one is a unique creation, composed on its own, separate from the others. The songwriters only got as much background or other info on the lyrics as they requested.

We’ve chosen to donate all revenue from this release to support The Beat Shop, a music production program at Workshop Houston, which serves youths in and around Houston’s Third Ward neighborhood.
